DESCRIPTION:APRIL is AUTISM ACCEPTANCE MONTH \nJoin VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services and families of children with ASD or IDD as we gather to celebrate a Mass of Welcome & Inclusion at St. Damien Parish\, St. Frances Cabrini Church in Ocean City\, New Jersey. A reception will follow in Culliney Hall. To RSVP for the reception\, please email Joanne Kelly at jkelly@stdamienparish.com. \nVolunteer Opportunities! \nWe invite you to actively participate in the Celebration of the Eucharist by sharing your skills as a greeter\, lector\, cantor\, usher\, and altar server\, and by your presence at Mass. We all have different abilities – please share your gifts. The Mass is adapted to meet the needs of the folks joining us for the celebration. If you would like to volunteer\, please let us know by emailing jkelly@stdamienparish.com or calling 609-399-0648 ext. 108. \nWhat is a Sensory-Friendly Environment? \nCreating a sensory-friendly environment can include dimming lights\, not using incense\, having a shorter homily\, playing acoustic music\, or playing music that doesn’t have a sudden increase in volume or high register. Individuals and families are encouraged to get up and move if they need to\, or bring other resources such as wiggle seats\, fidgets\, noise canceling headphones\, sunglasses\, or a comfort toy. \n \nDownload the flyer and share with friends. \nJoin us in Collingswood at St. Teresa of  Calcutta Parish\, Holy Saviour Church on Sunday April 16 as we celebrate Autism Acceptance Month with another Mass of Welcome and Inclusion in Camden County.
