A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

March begins our time of season transition and we begin to see warmer temperatures and longer hours of daylight.  It’s that time that Lent has begun and we prepare ourselves for the celebration of Easter next month.  As we move from the ashes to the empty tomb, our souls are cleansed and nourished through the sacrifices and acts of charity we are doing this month.

But let’s not forget about how we can best take care of our bodies and health during this month of transformation.  With longer days and warmer temperatures, hopefully we can find more time to get outside and walk or begin tending to the early preparation of our gardens.  Keeping active is the best way to stay healthy.

March is National Kidney Disease Awareness Month and in the Health Notes section of our website, you’ll find useful information on how to keep your Kidneys healthy and what signs to look out for if Kidney problems seem to be occurring. As always, check with your doctor for the complete information about your specific Kidney health.

As we move through March – a month who’s name is a verb noting movement forward, let’s spend some time doing just that. Moving forward toward better health in both our bodies and our souls as we approach Spring and the glorious celebration of Easter.
