VITALITY SPONSORS A HEALTHY AGING & WELLNESS FAIR

On Saturday September 24, 2016 VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services of the Diocese of Camden sponsored their first Healthy Aging & Wellness Fair held at Haven House in North Cape May. Over 100 Seniors from Haven House and the region attended a day filled with information on healthy lifestyles, hearing and blood pressure screenings, and lectures on “Healthy Eating” , “Resilience and Aging”, and “Medicare Part D”.

The participants were also entertained by the Cape May County String Band, The Bishop McHugh Regional School Choir, Soloist Michael Jones, and the talent of Magician Deacon Tom Fargnoli, who kept the audience spellbound by his magical feats. Healthy snacks and food kept the crowd happy and well-nourished as the day ended with a “Chair Zumba” demonstration led by Nicole Kopp.

Collaborating with VITALity to offer health information were representatives from AtlantiCare, Clare Medical, Holy Redeemer Home Care and Hospice, K-Mart Pharmacy, Fox Rehab, and REM Audiology.

And a big “Thank You” to Acme, Wawa, BJ’s, Shoprite, and Hoy’s Store for donating prizes and food for the event. And to our Diocesan Housing Services staff for allowing us to use this beautiful facility and for their help in setting up the venue.

VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services is dedicated to the promotion of healthy lifestyles for our seniors and assists those in need of care. We were pleased to be able to organize this event and provide a great day of healthy living and learning.
