A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

March came in like a lion and hopefully will go out like a lamb!

March weather is very unpredictable. We are often frustrated in our hopes for the arrival of the nice, long awaited springtime weather to come. Weather that beckons us outside to enjoy the sunshine and milder temperatures. To watch the spring flowers begin to bloom further adding color to the often dismal greys of winter. A time to anticipate the new life ahead- not just in our celebration of Easter, but also in the ordinary times of everyday. A life beyond the winter!

We should take advantage of this transition with daily walks, reconnecting with neighbors, and enjoying the things of the outdoors that bring us joy and happiness. An attitude of springtime can raise us up from the feelings of isolation and depression that the enclosures of winter tend to bring about.

The impending springtime is also a time to reassess our daily schedule of activity and eating. To be more attentive to our health and well-being, as reinforced by the social connections of friends and family all enjoying the moderation of temperatures and the liberation into the outdoors.

Also, let’s stay connected with that inner spirit of spring within us all that anticipates the change of season and brings about a new life within us. Remember, that’s God within us reminding us that hope is the virtue we must always hold onto.

If you find challenges and struggles that accompany your hopes, call us at VITALity. We’ll be happy to assist you in finding the care and medical support you might need to take full advantage of springtime and reconnect with all the possibilities that life brings you as you renew yourself along with nature.

May God bless you with the beauties of spring as we March toward this wonderful change of season.
